In addition to career coaching, David regularly is invited to speak to professionals and corporate audiences about career transitions and improving individual and work team effectiveness. He also mentors other career coaches across the country in establishing successful private practices.
David’s new book, “From Cornered to Corner Office: Overcoming The Most Unexpected Obstacles That Stand Between You and Your Career Dreams,” focuses on helping professionals who feel stuck or stalled in their careers. Each short chapter uses real stories from frustrated professionals and includes practical action steps for navigating a myriad of career roadblocks. He also publishes a free newsletter offering innovative ideas to help executives and other professionals find career fulfillment and success and is often asked to speak to companies and other organizations about cultivating a healthy and productive workplace.

Philosophy of activ:8
Life is full of changes – both unexpected and chosen. That’s also true of our careers. The biggest decision we all have to make is whether to act or react to what happens to us. You can let career changes happen or you can activate the changes that will put you in the driver’s seat by building a step-by-step plan to manage the direction of your career. Whether your career is just beginning or is well established, you can achieve a career and work life that capitalizes on your past successes, fulfills your passion and works for you.
On a Personal Note
In my previous career in human resources, I screened job applicants, made job offers, hired and fired individuals, laid off people and worked with employee groups to improve work dynamics and produce a better product for the company. While performing these important tasks, many times I wished I could have told individuals why they didn’t get the job or how they could have put themselves in charge of their own careers rather than have the company call all the shots.
During my years in human resources, I found that what energized me most was working directly with individual executives, managers and employees on career-development issues. So I decided to focus my career on doing just that – coaching individuals one-on-one to help them achieve satisfaction and success in their careers.
I found my dream position, the job for which I was made. Now I’d like to help you find yours. |
