It’s always important to keep up with jobs that are growing in popularity – especially if you’re still deciding on what kind of career you want to have (and still have time to change your college major!).
Now, at face value, that last statement might suggest that this post is solely geared toward high school kids and early college students out there. But as I’ve said before, it’s never too late to go back to school and get a different degree. So no matter where you are in your career journey, it’s STILL important to be on top of what kind of jobs are forcasted to be in demand in the near future.
Now that all of that is out of the way, let’s get to the fun stuff: the jobs. You see a lot of lists out there, but I came across one at the Test Drive College blog that reflects a lot of the other career coaching and career counseling research and job forcasting I’ve seen out there.
In summary, the jobs are (drum roll, please):
- Network Systems and Data Communication Analyst
- Computer Software Engineer
- Management Analyst
- Elementary School Teacher
- Accountants and Auditors
At the rapid pace technology is changing, it’s no big surprise that several of the hot jobs are based around tech. But it’s also noteworthy that a couple of old standby’s are on the list as well. You can find more insight into each job here.
Any careers you’ve noticed being more in demand recently?
