Per a 2010 Pew Research Center study, Millennials – those between 18 and 30 and also known as Gen Y – are on their way to becoming the most educated generation in U.S. history. But the survey also found that their entry into the job market has been slowed thanks to the recession (which I would think contributes to the fact that they’re more educated – many chose to get an extra degree while waiting out the recession for better opportunities). The numbers say it all: millennials have a 13.4% unemployment rate!
But some savvy young professionals are looking for untraditional ways to keep from adding to the statistic. Their method? A “network dating” program modeled after speed dating!
