We all have behavior styles – in other words, responses and reactions to things that happen at work, not to mention the way we proactively approach our job.
I can’t stress enough how important it is to understand your behaviors and what affects you in the work environment. This process begins by first truly understanding yourself, and then finding out how you can influence and change the outcome you desire.
So how do you do that?
If you were my career coaching client, we would utilize a series of materials to break down your behavior style to a point that we can understand what’s good for you in a career – and what’s not. These materials would also help us begin to measure company cultures and evaluate if a company is the right cultural fit for you.
This is a much bigger deal than many people think. If your personality and work behaviors don’t fit the culture you work in, you simply aren’t setting yourself up for success.
