Interview Preparation Workshop
On Tuesday, July 16, 2013, a team of professional recruiters, career coaches, and consultants will give you a chance to practice your interview skills, get feedback on what you are communicating to employers, take part in interview preparation exercises, network with other people in career transition and with HR professionals, and get your resume critiqued during this unique workshop.
Mock Interviews: Attendees will be scheduled for a fifteen-minute mock interview with a professional recruiter from a GO! Network corporate partner (see below). During registration, you will be asked to identify the job for which you would like to interview – please specify a hypothetical job title that matches your aspirations. After registering, please email your resume to email@example.com – we will make an electronic copy of your resume available to interviewers during your scheduled time slot. Note: interviews will be scheduled on a first-registered, first-served basis and remaining slots will be given to unregistered attendees after 8:45 AM on July 16 on a first-come, first-served basis.
Resume Critiques: You will have the opportunity to have your resume quick-critiqued with helpful suggestions from an HR representative from a GO! Network corporate partner (see below). Please bring a printed copy of your resume.
Interview Preparation Exercises: Before, during, and after interviews and resume critiques, you may participate in a series of interview preparation group exercises facilitated by professional career coach and change management consultant David Hults. Please bring a job description of a job for which you would like to be hired for one of the exercises.
Networking, Coffee, and Bagels will be available to all attendees and contributors from 8:00 – 11:30 AM, while supplies last.
