As a career coach, people often ask me, “What book should I read to help further my career?”
Whether the person asking me this question currently has a job or is looking for one, I always recommend the same book. This book has proven to help people facing change make successful transitions in their lives for more than 60 years.
The book I’m referring to is “The Four Agreements” by Don Miguel Ruiz.
This book was first published in 1952 with the purpose of practically guiding people to personal freedom. But I have found it incredibly applicable to finding freedom in your career – and it’s as relevant today as it’s ever been. Here’s a quick look at the agreements Ruiz identified. As you’ll see, each agreement can lead to the kind of inspiration that can make 2014 a big year in your life.
