One of the most beloved movies of the past couple decades has to be “Meet The Parents”, in which Greg Focker (Ben Stiller’s character) meets the family of his girlfriend. A recurring joke in that movie is how Greg is “a male nurse” and that he should inherently want to be a doctor. In the end of the movie, he reveals that he could have been a doctor, but desired to be a nurse for a number of fantastic, well grounded reasons.
Why am I telling this story? Because it’s an example of someone pursuing the right career for the right reasons! But also because Med Career News just released their Top 7 Reasons To Become a Nurse, and I think that list is the kind that Greg would endorse!
