No organization wants to hire leaders without making sure they are skilled and educated with a level of expertise. All organizations are looking for smart leaders to take the organization to the next level of success. However is that all that’s needed? Having knowledge is often just half the equation. Can they recognize, understand and choose how they think, feel and act at all times? Research suggests that having emotional intelligence is responsible for as much or more than 50% of the “success” in our lives.
Program OBJECTIVES/LEARNING OUTCOMES
After completing this program, learners will be able to:
• Identify their emotional intelligence strength or weakness
• Learn about five competencies that measure your emotional intelligence
• Determine which EQ competency to develop deeper
• Identify their own “ Emotional Triggers”
• Self-correct when they become aware of failure
Executive Coach David Hults is the author of five career books, a career columnist for the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, and a professional speaker who has led Corporate HR & Career Development for over three decades. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Human Resources/Career Development from Webster University where he has also completed courses toward his MBA. His dynamic leadership style led him to working with BJC Healthcare, one of the leading organizations in the nation, as well as Express-Scripts, which is now a Fortune 25 company.
While working in corporate HR, David found far too many employees complain because they were not getting promoted, not getting a raise, or not feeling appreciated. But when asked what they were doing to change that outcome, there was little or nothing they were doing to “actively” change. So David set out on a new mission to provide a service to others, coaching them on how to effectively implement career strategies. David is a firm believer that if you want something out of your career, you have to make it happen. Thus Activ:8 Careers was born.
